Best insurer for air cooled VW?

Post by WIZ »

Anyone know any reasonably sized insurance companies covering Aircooled Kombis on classic car policy ? Pref fully comprehensive if possible? Who are you all insuring your dubs with and what company gives the best deals?

I use Aon in Somerset West (Mutual and Federal underwriters), good service so far. (but balance of 3rd party only)

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Tell him you got his number from me. Tony Zee or Zenger, he knows me as both.

When I moved over to him, I not only moved both my cars, but added a Hilux and a trailer - yet my overall vehicle insurance went down (ok, a few cents) even with the extra vehicles.
And it isnt a monkey outfit, it is M&F and a specialist company who deals with the classic cars.

Phone him and find out.
He is one of the few people in CPT who will insure a classic at a decent price.
I was with AON for years at around R700 a month, then got down to R400, then got another company at R100, but they overcharged me by R300 for my other car, so it made no difference.
Now I have gone over to Chris's setup, added a hilux and a trailer and am still paying less.
And its not a lfy by night story, he uses Mutual and Federal.
