This flywheel & clutch assembly will only work in a beetle if the gearbox is butchered & also needs a kombi starter.

My problem is, my Baywindow bus's convertion wasnt done too well, (previous owner) and its gots a funny very thick 24 mm adaptorplate, and I have no Idea what flywheel is im there, but the issue I have is with the strange modified starter, it wors really k@k ! I want to redo the conversion, but I dont have a kombi starter, only a beetle starter(that would need recon) would it work on this setup? I have the 1600 gearbox on the bus !
