Fig my 1991 Figaro
Ok so sorry its not an aircooled VW but the most unusual unique car ever. With a unique history to boot.
You just don't see these cars and I think there are two or three in ZA including this one. Just over 20k ever made in one year.
Its a Nissan Figaro with a 1000cc turbo charged motor Automatic three speed convertible.
Needed a new toy and something off the wall

Ahem! There are royalties due on that name!
I saw one of these once, years ago, in Greenside. Very cool looking retro design.

I remember Jeremy Clarkson being very impressed with that car one of his shows
No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway.

Re: Fig my 1991 Figaro
Thanks Guys, and Fig I knew the subject line would interest you think im gonna call her Gif
I did go and see that one in Greenside which belonged to a journalist in Parkhurst. He owned it for about ten years and was selling recently to move to the UK. He wanted R120k which was over the top and I drove it with a sluggish engine and notchy gearbox. Anyway I haggled for this one for four months and paid R35k, so I ask you where do you buy something this unique for R35k very pleased. It has 112000 kms on the clock starts and runs perfectly and no rust just dry wear and tear. She will need a bigger turbo it looks like one from a sewing machine.
It's all in the hunt, you always forget how much fun it is to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission
Ciao

Re: Fig my 1991 Figaro
I was wondering if the 120 one was the one you bought, seemed a bit pricy. 35k a deal!
