Re: My Speedster ~ The Black Sheila
Will be looking at finalizing my order this week from VS and Sierra. Cheers for the tip.
Here's some more pics of the roof on the frame.
You have more than enough meat to work with and to trim off the excess if need by on the front.
I already started work on the new bows for your frame and I think that they'll work a treat. I'll pick up the outstanding stuff this weekend and then fab some extra stuff for another order that I have as well. Will keep you updated on that. Mine should be painted this weekend.

Re: My Speedster ~ The Black Sheila
Nope...........as much as I like the VS roof, the type of coin is not in my books, I can finish my car 100% with the money that the roof would cost me. Roger and myself are just buying some small stuff and it's being sent to a friend in the US who will in turn ship it all to me once the order has been filled.acpaterson wrote:What you getting Gary? I have a lead on my new top in the material i want, I just have to go and see them to see if it'll work.
Shine up light being the main part as well as some smaller stuff. Nothing major.

Nah.........I'll still come under my budget at the end of the day. All the fiberglass/ body work that needs to be done will be done by myself.acpaterson wrote:Oh, by the way, NOW is where your precious budget goes belly up.. lol..

Manny, thanks for sending down the parcel, just got it. That Roof material is awesome stuff.. Glad to have rather spent the extra cash to get the right thing, same for the numberplate light.

Re: My Speedster ~ The Black Sheila
I am very happy with the results thus far, Garth at Universal Products is doing an excellent job, their are imperfections that cant be modified to look more authentic ....after all it remains a kit car, but with some trickery , very few will notice these imperfections.

Re: My Speedster ~ The Black Sheila
Update on the Black Sheila:
Received the 356 fuel tank and is currently being installed by Universal Products I am told minor mods to the fiberglass will be needed to fit the 356 fuel tank, the rear seat correction is almost done, the new front nose is done. All the trim is being resembled. I must thank Garth Waberski for his help and service, excellent job.
