Forum members at gatherings and shows

Post by forcecooled »

Who is who??

Besides tripping over them and finding that they are fellow forumers, it would be nice to be able to recognize other members at shows and meetings. Its amazing how many members we all communicate with but, other than the one's that we have already got to know, we have no idea who the others are at these gatherings .

Anybody got any ideas of I.D.ing ourselves easily?

Stickers on our car display boards? ? Name tags? (with real names and nicknames!)

Nick is excluded as his name is already Nick :D

Or do we just carry on incognito :D

Or develop a secret handshake or sign or something similar

Our forum names will do,then when you shake those
hands that's when I'll give my real name.Which can be also seen tagged on the
windscreen of a member's car. Just an e.g.

I might be able to assist.... How about a button in each member's profile which would create a business card sized card with your forum name etc. on?

Cool Idea Eben. I assume we can then print it and display it in the car window at the shows?
The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.

Maybe forum members should add their nicknames when filling in the display certificate that Red-M showed in the other thread

how about the og deisign of the acvwsa sticker only as a "name tag". this way we can identify a member and its an cool ice breaker to introduce oneself and so forth and so forth. also great advertising for the forum as inquiring minds would ask what acvwsa is all about

Great ideas!
i think that if we use the official ACVW sticker as a basis for whatever we decide on, then Eben should have a decisive say in what it turns out like.
Other thing is that this 75th is on sunday, so will we be able to get something done by then? - time is very short!
Any more ideas Guys?

red Puma + silver Puma + early red Lolette will be me. Unfortunately the SP is grounded and staying home... Teach it to stay out all night and beat golfs
