Finally....A supplier for narrowed beams
Hello all,
At yesterday's show, met a guy who is making narrowed beams, safari windows kits and some other cool goodies.
His display car was a '58 Beetle with a 6 inch narrowed beam, slammed right down. And the best part is that it was safely done, with shocks and to a very high standard...
So all of you guys out there who want a narrowed beam done safely and with no BS....Here is your chance...
Will let the member who's involved in this initiative step up and say a few words

Re: Finally....A supplier for narrowed beams
Hi Guys
Yes we got caught out a bit , I had Smelly loaded with samples, gasebo's and the like and we could not get in !
We have managed to build tooling to bend and make frames for bus safari's and my personal favorite Safari windows for bugs, we are also doing rear bus safari's and beams from 2 to 4 inches all with shocks and adjusters. All of the kits are complete with latches ,glass rubbers and all hardware to fit and are offered in three options ,primered, powder coated (black or white only) and chromed. We are working on type three beams....
I would verry much appreciate any feedback from you guys that saw the stuff.
Fanx !

Re: Finally....A supplier for narrowed beams
Hi Megan
It depends on what you need, there is no need to narrow the beam (narrowing means that the beam is cut and shortened to bring the front wheels closer to each other)
By adding adjusters you can adjust the height of the bus up or down.

Re: Finally....A supplier for narrowed beams
I'm also thinking about doing a narrowed beam with discs for my bug... I'm just sorting out some finances first
But I saw the work this guy does, and it look fantastic!

Re: Finally....A supplier for narrowed beams
Type 3 beams, are they going to be modified type 3 beams or a conversion type 1 beam? Would be nice to see a Type 3 with narrowed beam, for show purposes, in this country....
