Re: My Speedster ~ The Black Sheila
Finally something to report, went to collect my seats from Anton all I can say is WOW! he did and excellent job the carpets and foam fit perfectly.
After leaving Anton I drove to Garth in Spartan to check the progress on the front end of my speedster I am happy Garth has really done a good job we discussed the rear seat correction and he will start next week on that mod its not going to be easy but I am sure Garth will figure something out.
The deck lid will also be redone. Garth reckons another month or so then the Black Sheila should bebready.
Thereafter I drove to Pierre Bugger man this guy knows his VW stuff man I was so impressed that was really a good visit although at first glance a person thinks eish! but don't be fooled by the rusty buses and beetles in the yard I am a technical guy there are small things that gives you sense of comfort a sense of peace straight to the point no quibble I like that,
Also two weeks ago and this week I received other bits and pieces for my speedster. Photos attached

Re: My Speedster ~ The Black Sheila
AWESOME Manny, everything is looking Awesome bro..
Clever that you got the inner rocker panels made up.. I'm making mine up when the car comes home, as well as the tunnel squared off, and pedal boards.
Nice seats, VERY pretty. And that motor is going to look awesome as well.

Re: My Speedster ~ The Black Sheila
Today was another good day, spent a hour or so at Gary's place , did a semi-fit of The VS canvas softop and it fits pretty well thanks Gary it was awesome to chat about our speedsters, their was lots to discuss back and forth, forth and back awesome man thanks . The good lesson learnt from this exercise our speedster are not far off from our colleagues overseas .......body wise.
I think its worthwhile mentioning if any fellow speedster owners is looking to purchase a Rear License shine up light , my personal opinion is go to VS, I got one from Sierra Madre and comparing my light with Alans light the VS is a stronger piece and internals chromed the Sierra Madre I find is weaker and painted internals. My chrome from my light is already pealing off, internals on mine has rust. I must also say if you're building an original go with the Sierra Madre. Unfortunately at the time I was less wiser when making my purchase. The price difference is almost 700 ZAR.

Re: My Speedster ~ The Black Sheila
Hi Manny, thanks for the mention on the rear license light I've been following your build and the discussions and have gained lots of knowledge. As far as VS goes are the other chrome bits good eg: mirrors and bumper guards

Re: My Speedster ~ The Black Sheila
Hi Neil,
I can only vouch for the rear shine-up license light, seat slides and the bumper guards , also the VS top, in my opinion i reckon all the other bits and pieces should be fine after all Kirk from VS has sold over 3000 speedster's . I can also say what I have purchased is quality.
