Classic VW Insurers (SORTED)

Post by evan.fraser.274 »

So I'm curious and wanted to know how many of you insure your classic VW's? And if so...if you have recommendations on a good insurer that won't revert with one of the following excuses:

1. Can't find your car on the M&M list so we refuse to insure it...
2. You want to insure that old car for HOW MUCH!?! Sorry we won't insure if for more than R15,000!
3. No problem but it's going to cost you [the equivalent of 3 arms and 4 legs]

Since I don't do more than 2000km a year in the cars I resent being ripped off, but I would hate my treasured cars to be damaged and have to fork out the repair costs or - heaven forbid - I prang into a Porsche

Any advise and / or suggestions would be most welcome...

Evan
