I came to work with Rattles my '53 Daily drive Split Beetle and the building contractor who is building new classrooms came to me and told me he was offered a Beetle same as mine by a guy who cannot pay him for building work he has done. Long story short the Guy owed him R25 000 for the work so I paid the contractor and now the '52 Split Beetle is mine. Minor paperwork to be sorted out. So you will soon meet Bubbles, Rattles' new garage mate

Being able to own 1 split beetle is extremely fortunate in my opinion. to have 2 is just wrong.

Wow Muds, that's an impressive list! How do you do it?

Pls set up the kombi tent and post pics of it, either here or in my ealrier kombi tent thread in My Ride. I've got a thing for drive-away kombi tents and I'm amazed at how many different ones were made in SA.

And I'll be contacting you shortly with my Hazet tool needs.

John Hoffe: Im still sad that I sold one of my Rosenthals,... but I know it went to a good home... yours :D

Fig... I have posted a pic... dont know anything about it... got it from a guy yesterday that had it on his Kombi whenver they went camping... I dont think its a westy tent... can you say what its worth so that I can gauge whether I got a good buy...?

When I got my Fuchs refurbed at a wheel place close to my house the owner of the shop made me a offer I couldn't refuse. He wanted some stuff removed from the shop as it was there when he took over and was getting in the way. I landed 2 complete engines and 1,5 tranny's together with other spares , got it all for R200. 1 motor is my spare and still does duty, and is doing so until I rebuild a new HP for my Spyder. The other engine was blown at Fig's Farm. :D
the tranny's were donated to Bugger. :hangloose:

Nah, kidding, glad for you Lieb, WHAT a luck and MUDERICK!! What is your day job exactly, will you look at that list!!!!
Gus the Empi bus has seen more ACVW porn than the volkspares storeroom.

I know Muds has a judson that he is not showing us, isn't that right

I am hoping some of your list will have my name on it, we must talk, so many accessories, so little time...

Maybe I can buy the 52 from Lieb, the porsche 356 engine from Muds, and do something special

Keep em coming guys! It's good to know that those special items are still out there....
