I received this as a gift from a family member in Oz. Not in great condition and the knobs are unfortunately missing but it's a nice addition to my collection of VW things.

The make is AMA or Amalgamated Wireless Australia Ltd. It is a 6-volt, vibrator operated, 6 valve MW band car radio. I don't have a manufacturing year for this specific model but it may be mid 50's onwards.

While helping my uncle move yesterday I cam across this in the rubbish heap, there is no evidence that it was ever fixed to a car.

Good score on the Hazet Assistent JC. That's an old one; pre-1965. (You can tell because the Hazet script is in upper and lower case. Post-65 they went to all upper case ... maybe that's where MARK got the idea from!)
