A few years ago a family member gave me a few boxes of things from her deceased husband. She hung onto his garage things until she found someone "worthy" and who would appreciate his things.
Amongst this lot was a little plastic container with 16 little plastic drawers full of things like fuses, light bulbs, nails, wall plugs... all arb things.

Yesterday I needed a nail to mix some pratley steel with, so I pulled out one of the drawers, this drawer didnt have the nails...
but it did have a little section which caught my eye...

Those little brass things are solex main jets in sizes 130, 132.5, 135 and 137.5
17 jets in total...
I consider this a nice little score :hangloose:

I have always contemplated the idea of fuel injection on the Notchback, however Intake manifolds and throttle body a huge problem!

A week or so ago Sarel at Volkspares told me that few late model type 3's came factory fitted with fuel injection, see picture below.

So today these appeared at Volkspares! Super exited! :hangloose:

Perhaps not quite the 'amazing find' as the forum topic suggests, yet still interesting. I have found this sealed Beetle pedal rubber kit, with English and Afrikaans text. I suppose it should be fairly old, as there is no bar code on it. The rubbers don't have a VW logo on it just a 'V'. Anyone have any information on these South African aftermarket (read: pirate  ) parts?

I saw that offered on gumtree. It's certainly interesting, but not really any value. The V logo pedal rubbers were available loose (not packaged like that) from Fleischmanns (the Midas of its day) up to the 1990s. I remember buying some of them. Probably made in SA or Taiwan.

Nice score! Sanyo Transworld with Shortwave (predecessor to the Sanyo Rally), offered as an option by SA VW dealers. Different knob variation below

We are busy cleaning out my father in law's garage. Check out these mint condition brochures. I also found an owners manual for a 1200 Beetle and a manual for a 411. :hangloose:

Awesome! Local sales brochures seem very hard to find.
