The new image gallery and how to use it.

Post by eben »

Hi all,
The image gallery is now working for anyone that wants to use it.
As mentioned before each profile can create their own personal galleries of images that can be used directly in posts on here or elsewhere(just let me know which sites so that I can allow it.)
If you have quite a lot of your own images that you want to upload, you can zip them up. Just ensure they are 1024 pixels wide max, tell me what you want to call your album/subalbum and I can import them for you to give you a kickstart.

Below is a video with instructions, pay special attention to the fact that you click on the image name to get the code for it.

If you have any questions/problems, let me know on this thread so we can help everyone :)

Thanks Eben! Gallery is great! Is there a way we can organize (move around) our photo's in the album?

Hi All,

Just coded a feature that I thought was missing from the gallery:
Adding selected devices from and album to a post.
ScreenShot049.jpg
When in the required album tick the checkboxes for the images you want to use & click Get BBCode at the bottom.

This will open a new page with text that you can copy into your post to display the images.

PS if your album goes over one page, use Notepad to temporarily keep the code.

Let me know if it works for you guys.
Will make it "prettier" later :D
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Personal request from me: please don't use photobucket or imageshack to host pics. My own preference is to host images on thesamba.com galleries. They are never removed, so no dead links, and they can be linked to from anywhere, unlike ACVWSA galleries.

Because of the watermark this is good advertising for the forum but if no one provides me with any sites, I cannot add them.

Eben,
Just listed a project Braveheart. First attempt so let me know if it was :bn: or if it complies with the requirements.
Thanks Bushpig

Eben,
I seemed to have screwed up and the Project Braveheart has been listed 3 times. Can you delete two versions. Thanks Bushpig

Posting the image is easy, but it then only opens in small size. How do you get it to open full size in your post?
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).

Clicking on the image name in the gallery you can use the URL link in the bottom together with the img tags as normal.
