Hi 73type2,...I'm doing my darnedest to upload pics but it keeps saying "No images could be successfully uploaded"???

My Merc is a 1970 280SE 3.5 V8 Coupe (The low-grille W111)

I'll try the pics again later.

Thanks Cagey. Maybe try adding one image at a time? I always upload JPEGs using the "Add image to post" feature just below the reply text box. I don't know if there might be problems with other formats.

Hi all.

I have registered a while back but don't think I introduced myself. My name is JJ. My great grandfather had a 1975 Autovilla and I wanted one sine I could remember. I finally got my hands on 1. Hope to get expert advise from you guys.

Hi. I’ve had several beetles over the years, mostly as a student back in late 80s and early 90s. I drove these mainly due to financial constraints (I was a student at the time). My best friend drove a yellow Beetle SP, which his father had restored for him. I could never afford one, even when he sold his for R12000, it was way above my budget (R50 a day working as a student was considered lots of money). Now that I’m settled, done most, I desperately looking for a SP. all seem to be broken, converted, or just in bad shape. I am looking for a decent one, perhaps restored, seeing that I don’t have the time, space or mechanical inclination to restore one.
