Who knows, but I agree this one sounds like someone taking the piss. I suppose Carmen's surname is Gear.

Apologies to you if you are for real Carmen. :hangloose:

Different vehicles... other picture shows colour split at roofline.
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).

Hi there my name is Braam , based in Cape Town and i am new to the Forum. I'm on my third Aircooled car , started with a 1600 Baja , then had a 2000l Lowlight , now many many years later I'm getting back into it and recently bought a 71 Type 4 Variant. She is fairly clean but I've got lots to do to get her sweet. I'm a stock guy and will be trying to keep her as original as possible.

Howzit all,

Reegz here. Not new to VW's but have lately been feeling the urge to restore an old school Beetle. I was referred here to do some homework around the effort required and to get a feel for the aircooled scene here in SA.

Hoping to learn a lot and take that knowledge forward with me to building my own Beetle.

Hey Reegz welcome to the forum. Seems like you are not from SA reading your post. Welcome welcome. If you start a project create a thread under projects and post lots of pics we love pics. If you get stuck there is a lot of knowledgeable people on the forum or if we get stuck I am sure you will help out as well.
