Thank you Fig

Post by Madbones »

Fig,
Just wanted to say thanks for the tireless effort you make in posting vehicles for sale. Our beloved air cooled vehicles.
If it wasn't for your posts every day I might not have secured some awesome stuff. First thing I do in the morning is check this forum for your thread, like a bloody drug, a VW drug. There must be loads of cases where we get to buy what we want with five minutes to spare, thanks to your post.
Keep up your tireless task because we are winning and we are keeping our VW's in ZA with your tireless effort.
Thanks Fig I owe you a few beers at KKK.

Haha thanks guys. I appreciate the acknowledgement Richard!

I do sometimes wonder if my reposting of gumtree ads creates value for anyone here, and if anyone ever buys any of that stuff. I know Sean bought the Worcester Autovilla after I posted it here, as well as the world's biggest collection of Jurgens crockery ... Recently I've been thinking I'm wasting my time, so this post has recommitted me to sharing my gumtree searches with ACVWSA forums!

I'm glad you bought that Autovilla Richard; it looked like a bargain.

No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway.

Definitely owe you one too.

A while ago you posted an ad for a Bus here in the cape, there was a Golf in the pic.

Emailed the seller and met him, ended up buying a whole stash of Golf parts and Beetle wheels etc that he was planning on junking

Saved the whole lot and the bus got sold the next day :hangloose:

I save each and every pic of Kombis for sale which Christian posts - and then save the folders for each year - I don't have any particular reason why I do this, but it might be interesting to compare prices and the numbers of busses for sale in years to come. Doing this on Gumtree is a mission. Saving's Figs pics is so much easier - please don't stop :hangloose:

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.
