The people on this forum

Post by Eugene »

Geez....I started typing a long story and deleted it all.
I want to thank Jaco and Alecia for their hospitality and and help with transport, food breakfast and so much more. One day, when I grow up, I want to be like you.
same goes to Gerhard and Lynette for your hospitality, and help, checking out the Beetle and putting up with squatters. One day, when I grow up, I want to be like you. :P
My split personality will be very kind, humble and handsome. ...pretty much as I am right now

I have to agree with your sentiments about Jaco and Alicia, I have experienced their warm hospitality, a lovely family, eish, and the meals - yoh !!!

The same with the Bloemfontein kerel, Gerhard. And his cat-fish braais ......

But I can't agree with you being handsome - auntie :zhelp:

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

I have exactly the same things to say about the same people
Jaco has helped me a few times while I have been away and while camping, Jaco and Alicia were very good to me, helping out with things I didnt have, just making my life easier.

Gerhard... he invited me into his house and gave me a bed before we even met... never to be forgotten

Thanks for the nice words.

To me that is what the Aircooled family is about. We all help where we can.

Just this weekend Gerhard invited me to Bloem again.
Paul and Wendy with their hospitality last year when I was in CT.
Tony always willing to help with advice. He insisted to take us for breakfast in Bloem when we were there.
MARK transporting my Hazet trolley from KZN.
MARK and Freddy Booysen with the Jurgens set from KZN.
The list goes on and on.

Thanks to all making it a great forum.

...and then there is this Sean guy
I took the 67 for roadworthy and they failed the old bugger just on the right hand tie-rod ends. Phoned Sean to ask if he had part number and found out it was non adjustable and therefore not available....told me he buys the adjustable ends and welds it in place..."if you need help with that, I can do it for you"
:zhelp: Hell yes, I needed help! "Just come drop it off and you can pick it up tomorrow", which is exactly what I did and what he did....thing was clean and sprayed black...looked like new.
THANKS SEAN...you're an officer and a gentleman :hangloose:

hate you for that green Deluxe :jerkoff:

I’m glad the feeling is mutual. Don’t come bragging with that split again!

Can’t say I’m not jealous of this single cab....
