SCAMMER - Pieter Viljoen from Colesberg

Post by Madbones »

Apologies but I have started a new thread so that forum members read this and don't get scammed by this low down scum.
There seems to be a common trend where scammers go after WANTED requests. Just my observation.
I cottoned on to my first wanted scam but this one got me, maybe due to the small value. Never again!

So Pieter Viljoen from Colesberg Cell 073-0770961 (Not sure if this person actually exists) said he had a cap for R100 which I paid along with R99 for postnet. He even sent me photos when I asked. Looks like ive been scammed as he has ignored me since, no answer on phone or sms.
Very sad guys like this are on the forum please be careful.
Madbones

Update:
This is what I found from another sight when I searched his name
Hi guys
I was looking for a steering damper. Put an ad on Avcom and a guy calling himself Pieter Viljoen from Colesberg called. Sent photos of the part and an email via Avcom. I did an eft and he dissapeared
Please phone his number 0730770961 just to tell him he is a son of a $&@& and also send a mail to pviljoen.sa@gmail.com
He has an ABSA account 9316296049
Be warned

You may have been scammed, or not, but I'm not entirely sure that it is ethical to publish someone's private detail on a public forum. Something might have happened to the guy that is preventing him from being contactable. Anything is possible.

Ethical or not, this isnt the only forum where people paid money over never to hear from him again.

Perhaps if more people were bold enough to name and shame we might get rid of this scum.
I am more than happy to defend my claim but I will not sit back and watch. If I am wrong I will also answer for my mistake.

This guy goes by many names and numbers, he has tried to scam me twice in the last year, with wanted adds I placed.
First for a bicycle deraileur and the second for a beetle pulley, placed on 2 different sites.
I smelt a rat when he told me to do a payment to a cell number, the second add, he now had a Absa account, I asked him for detailed pics of the pulley, he didn't send any but was pushing for a payment, told him to F#ck off, litteraly.
Beware there are many of these bastards doing the rounds, do checks, ask for more detailed pics in a certain position, true caller, google their name / number.

If its too good to be true ..... it is!
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......

After a year of struggle, opening a case a the police, seeing lawyers. I can say that I received the papers for my beetle.
Now I can continue with my project.
