Hi guys
I opened the rear wheel reduction gearbox on my Fleetline Kombi.
The end of the driveshaft fits into a bearing (see arrow) and it is worn quite a bit (+/- 0.8mm).
So this needs to be sorted out.
I’m guessing 2 option:
a) turn it down on a lathe and have a bush of sorts to take up the slack.
b) get another driveshaft.
Any other suggestions?
Any idea where to start looking for another driveshaft?
How difficult is it to remove the driveshaft from a Fleetline gearbox?
Any possibility that another aircooled gearbox would be able to be substituted?
Thanks in advance.
Jason
