Hi Paul, sounds nice but I have to check with my girlfriend if there is something planned the 16th, she's allready down there and have better overwiev of things than me... get back to you asap!

Grandslam... sounds intersting, whats the koncept? tire kicking, aircooled bullshitting and braai?
It could be interesting to say that it is an T2 only event just to get the experience of seeing Faarhad and Hitler crash the Grandslam with their T1's! (or T3's or...? well, non-T2's)

Don't know anything about Best Beetles but I have a feeling that it's not a very popular company in the aircooled community... don't think we will do any business with them...

Whatever a Grandslam is, I'm up for it! Ja! :hangloose:

Loef, you guessed right, stay away from best beetle.

:D They have a perminant breakdown service. There beetles are the worst in the country. Real rust buckets and mechanically dangerous.

Howzit Farhaad Sonday. Date, etc. not fixed yet, Will only be fair to speak with Jurgen first, will ph him tommorrow. Would be
nice to have more than just busses and meet other aircooled nutters.
Loef, sorry brother, Grandslam is the name of a VW workshop which is based in Gordon's Bay/Strand. It is run by a crazy
German. We try to have a technical day there 4 times in the year.
Cheers

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

No worries, we can make another date Loef.
Jurgen also cool with the idea, spoke with him today, wants an idea first of how many will attend, if too few people
not really worth it,
all VW aircooled vehicles welcome.
Please PM me your name and ph no. if you are keen - will probably be a morning, couple of hours, braai, etc.
(Not a piss up)! No lawn, etc around, industrial area, not so great for small kids - although most welcome.
Cheers !!

Greetings to ALL :D We wish everyone all the best for the New Year - may it bring us all what we deserve

We will be looking at the calendar for the new year to have a technical day and get together, hopefully you are all keen to join us :!:

I will keep you posted as to an exact date - probably towards March'ish. Dutch, this gives you 3 months to get your ass over here - we are sick and tired of having NO ONE waiting here for us on Saturday mornings :( :flash:
My rides - 58, 62, 63 & 70 Beetles also 58 Karman Ghia

Hi Jason, Good to hear that Kombi Club is alive and kicking!
Unfortenatly for me, I only were in Cape Town (SA) for a couple of months touristing so now when you have all the interesting plans going on I'm stuck in Norway and waiting for the snow to start falling again... :D
But Hey, thanks for the up's anyway!

Take a lot of pic's from your gatherings down in and around Cape Town and publish them here on the forum!
Would be nice to come back down to SA again some day and nice pic's are allways a good motivator!
