Looking for a guy with a flatbed...

Post by Blitzkrieg »

Hey all,

I need to move a car from Centurion to Johannesburg, does anyone know of a reputable towing company or fellow with a flatbed truck??

My normal car trailer + stasie wa combo is out at the moment :(

Hiring a trailer will cost a lot less. My Boet uses Round the clock towing and a call out costs R1750 for a flat bed, for a return trip of under 100 km's.

Blitz,

Trailarent in Centurion charges me R300 per day insurance included and we can hook it behind the Colt.

Just book in advance, so you get the small trailer (single axle) as the double axle is overkill and not pleasant to manouvre by hand

I can arrange it for Saturday afternoon, if you like.

There, problem solved.

Perfect, that sounds like a brilliant plan :hangloose:

I will call you later on to arrange.

Just need to speak to the owner of that car now, maybe we can twist his arm now to buy a certain green Beetle from him

Seeking forum members kind help for a car that is not even yours?

Is it even a VW that needs moving?

Sounds like a rope trick to me :D

Let me just clarify, Mr Noble/

The purpose of this post was to ask for a recommendation for a rollback/flatbed truck, preferably a company with a reputable reputation.

I was offered to buy the car in question, which is an aircooled vehicle. Because I didn't take it, I told my cousin about it and he said that he will buy it.

Because the car is here in Centurion and he resides in JHB, I offered to help him to make a plan to get it to him.

...and because we bought the car from JMVV, he kindly volunteered to help

No conspiracy or rope tricks

I do happen to have a flat bed, but unfortunately i use it to sleep on during nighttime, so no, it's not available.
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).
