Hi Guys We at VdubTECH are very Proud and Excited to Announce that we have struck a Deal with Remtec in PE,
They do all Volkswagen SA`s Reconditioning of engine sub assemblies and they have Decided to stop All Reconditioning of the Flat 4 Range of Engines due to the fact that it is no more cheap and Viable to recondition the Beetle/Kombi and WBX engines on there site.
We are in the prosess of Buying all there stock which include everything related Type 1,Type 4 and WBX.
There is around 95 Beetle casings alone and and 167 228mm Type 4 and WBX flywheels just for an Example and Quite alot of other WIP Work in Progress Jobs in the Package
Deposits are Paid and the packking has begun from there side and there after we will start getting Quotes to transmport all the parts up to Jhb. We will most probably be needing a Super link os 15m Hors and Trailer for the Parts
Everything should be finalized in the next 3 months
Is there anyone that has transport contacts from PE to JHB

Hi Sir,
Congratulations, on a good find. :D

You can get a good rate by rail from PE to JHB, with the use of a container.

Or you can use My courier, and negotiate a better deal for a full container.

Let me know.

Herman

Hi, My courier also said that your cheapest option, as you are not streast for time, is to go via SA rail.

The best price from courier for 6m container will be R15 000. fully loaded up to 23 Ton.
Two will be a bit cheaper per each.

Mark is also getting some prices for you.

Let me know.

Some times you get trucks running back empty and will give you a better rate if they have no back loads, but I have been out of touch for a while but if you don't come right I can try a few old contacts if they are still around and see what is what,I know I use to run back empty quite often.
But R15000 does not sound bad at all.

Thanks Herman and Terry

Yip I used to be in Logistics and have deliverd alot in PE and suroundings and getting a load beck from there was olways a challange and the rate was :bn: so alot of times we did loads back just to cover diesel
So closer to the time I will know what the weights ans volume will be then I can make propper work of it
But it does not hurt to start now
As I recon I will be needing a Full 12M container or I will speak to the refrigeration rigs as there is also a lot of volume I can utilize

Or you can try the furniture removal companies as the have pantec's and they also do general goods these days, with containers there are a lot of hidden costs with regard to rentals, collecting, returning etc.
Good luck.
