Wow, amazing repair job. The car was really full of rust even though being a "Vaalie". It looked lekker on the initial pictures but on closer inspection it really had a lot of rust and that damn :bn: fg!
Congratulations on the work thus far (esp. to Ferdi) , it certainly takes time to do things right and rather so than rush through and end up with ...(Nice from far but on closer inspection far from nice).
Since the first coat of paint is on and not the last coat have you seen the BMW Hanna Red, also an odd colour (like a kaki).
The 5 spoke EMPIS wouldn't have looked that lekker on the T3 if chromed since the cromed goods only stick out and look good with dark colours. Many ppl here in Portugal would dig to get a hold of the SA Rostyles so I reckon they'll really be original and "unique".

Good work on the reassembly (have fun) as it'll get you more attached to your notch. Looking forward to seeing your youtube vid cruising in it ...

small update

Delivered the glass today.

Collected the Rostyles to have tyres fitted (any leads on good quality reasonably priced tyres?) I dont want to go overboard, maybe 175 in front and 185 in the back, but not the standard 65 profile, perhaps a 60 or even a 50 profile pending availability.

Still looking for a few odds and ends for the fuel system. "New" fuel tank is also in, thanks Blitz, looks NOS.

Need to go to Pro Auto for some window rubber, unless someone has Type 3 window rubber lying around, taking up space, that they want to sell... anyone?

I thought it a good idea at this point to update the concept pic slightly, you can tell me at the end how close we came.

The wheels were sprayed Farhaad. The silver is slighty darker than the pic shows, has a very light gunmetal grey to it. Going to look great on.

If it looks anything close to the concept pic, it's going to be a looker! :hangloose:

Keep up the good work!

That fuel tank was from a Square that had very low mileage, no idea why it was scrapped. But it's in excellent condition, yes.

Please just double check if the opening is round or more oval shaped...need to see which filler pipe I have
