Finished the bootlid off today

Still need another coat on the bonnet

I swapped out the engine from my kombi which looks like a single port 1500 which was way underpowered for the bus, I think it will better suit the beetleImage
Now theres enough space to put back the piece I hacked out for the type 4 engineImage

Since my last post Ive been having problems with the front suspension, So it was time to redo all the joints and went for a front disc brake conversion and lowered the front with adjusters. Due to the new disc brakes been 4 x 100 pcd, it was time to change up the wheels and got 2 adapters for the rear. I decided I want to keep the wheels OEM and went with a set of 1981 Jetta 13 inch rims. Brakes have now been bled and its time to set the wheel alignment. This is going to have to be a DIY job as the places around here dont want to touch my beetle because its lowered and does not have the period correct rims.
Heres a pic of her with her new shoes.

small world, I bought those red steelies and caps from you two weeks back.

Do you need the 13 inch trim rings?
If it's too low, you're too old

Will look good, but you do know you will effect your top speed, and if you push it on the open road, you will over rev the aircooled motor and kill it.

On the other hand, you will have a killer pull-away.....

Hi again , yes I will not be pushing the car hard as I realised the 13 inch revs can be high. I normally go max 80-90 km/h anyways will try to keep the speed low n slow
