Always good to see a workshop that has all the remains lying on the floor and a selection of leads is always good
One for plugging in all those power tools and second for the late night completion "trip" ha ha

Those fenders just always doo something when they are sanded back and getting ready for the main event - super sexy

Keep going there Jonno

HEY JONNO.
THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD SEEN THIS POST AND SO I READ IT FROM FRONT TO BACK.
THAT'S A BIGGISH PROJECT BUT GOOD LUCK! WE ALSO LIKE THE ROUND SCREEN BEETLE.
YOUR LEMON PEEL IS NORMALLY REFERRED TO AS 'ORANGE PEEL' AND YOU MAY BE ABLE TO RECTIFY WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE BY POLISHING IT OUT.
FOR FURTHER PAINTING..... TRY TURNING DOWN THE AIR PRESSURE AND THIN YOUR MIX A BIT. KEEP THE GUN THE SAME DISTANCE FROM THE BODY AS YOU SPRAY AND RATHER DO A FEW THIN COATS THAN 1 OR 2 HEAVY COATS.
WATCH FROM AN ANGLE AS YOU SPRAY AND GET A NICE SOLID FILM (YOU WILL NOTICE HOW THE PAINT SEEMS TO BECOME SMOOTH AND FUSE WITH ITSELF). IF YOU GO TOO HEAVY OR TOO MUCH IN ONE PLACE, IT WILL RUN. NOT A PROBLEM, JUST MORE WORK FOR YOU AND RUBBING ISN'T FUN.
HOPEFULLY YOU ARE USING 2K AND NOT JUST DUCO. YOU'LL BE HAPPIER IN THE LONG RUN.
GET A MEASURING STICK OR CUP FROM YOUR LOCAL PAINT STOCKIST AS THIS WILL HELP YOU GET YOUR MIX CORRECT.
PRACTISE ON A BIT OF OLD METAL OR YOUR OLD SHELL FIRST.
LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THE END RESULT.
