Hey buggyfan,

Looks like like we're both cutting up beach-buggies. I've done exactly the opposite to you!!However, my plan is to have a rollcage around the back with stainless grab-bars on the sides as well.

Hope yours comes out according to plan

I've cut everything out and installed the beetle. Rear section,just need to lign everything up and check what needs to be glassed back to make it look presentable

i had to cut alot of the body away to get the seat area to fit and still use the original beetle body mounts

Thanks Tony,
We only had 1 terrifying moment where my eldest son[13] misjudged his turn and lodged is siideways ontop of a sandheap.All 3 of us had to grab it by the front bullbar and bounce it Off of the sandheap.

drove the buggy to work tonight for the 1st time ,only 15kilos but it is the furthest distance ive ever driven it in 1 go .

Also realised that I will have to get the wheels balanced as it starts to shake when going above 90kmh.

Now the question ,will tyre places still be able to balance these type of rims with the huge centre holes??
