Whew, I'm glad you didn't chop it into a buggy! Looking good.

The bug was missing all of its beadings so I replaced all of them with Golf1 beadings.

We (youngest son and I) replaced all the old rubbers with
PRO Auro rubber

We were actually experiencing issues with the starter where it would sometimes refuse to start, just click click click.
So after removing the starter countless times and bench testing it on a extra gearbox without any issues I came to the realization that we are experiencing voltage drop from the ignirion wire to the solenoid. Added a relay onto the solenoid wire and the starting issues are a thing of the past

After seeing @Batman s post about his diy doorcards we decided to replace ours aswell as they were literally falling to pieces
