Re: 62 Bug restoration (or Herbie according to my son!)
Thanks guys!
Unfortunately the rear of the car is where the trouble is!
She has a couple of old dents and some rust that needs sorting.
But now I have the space to work on the problems!
Will start with the motor as soon as finances allow and then move to bodywork.

Re: 62 Bug restoration (or Herbie according to my son!)
On new years day I started with my garage. I had to fix the floor with self leveling skreet, which I painted and then I repainted the inside a nice bright white. I only finished on Sunday afternoon but I think it looks great. Now Oupa also have a new clean area where I can finish him.

Nice and Bright!
The floor looks great, I must tackle the wall paint sometime as well!
Still have quite a bit to do around the new place before the wife will leave me to my own devices!
I've always liked black paint on a Beetle , Oupa's looking stylish!

No progress yet
After moving the goverment has had me quite busy sorting the new house out
As far as the name goes both my sons refer to the Beetle as Herbie
Guess they have chosen
Fixed a no pull problem on the motor the weekend, the electric choke terminal on the carb was not making proper contact
Had me very worried, he limped home like that before I could get under the bonnet!

Got a pair of stock rims and a pair of slightly widened rims
Can't wait to get them painted and fitted!
Wan't to do a slight drop like this one
