Re: Beetle type 4 twin turbo project
Question: are those fenders widened? Where did you get them?

Re: Beetle type 4 twin turbo project
They are about 2" wider than stock, I got them from Kit Car Centre in edenvale about 8 years ago.... I do not know what happened to the moulds though. Maybe I should get a mould made from these before painting.

Re: Beetle type 4 twin turbo project
OK, so not much has happened the last month or so. I'm in the process of moving to another company etc etc... so my life is turned upside down right now. I've moved all the toys to my dad's house, so once I've got my life settled again then the projects can carry on.
On another note, my red beetle #71 will also receive a serious engine make over soon With the historic guys getting full of sh!t I've decided to build a hipo engine and go race in Silver cup or super saloons next year. I'll start a new build thread for that engine How's 2176cc turbo track car sound???

Love the racing in those classes, back in the 90's never missed a event of the Ultimoil Gold & Silver cup, some of the machines were insane, like twin Turbo 3L GTV Renault 5 mid mount Turbo, Audi Turbo, this one in particular, most awsome sound from the turbo, still sends shivers down my spine.
Go ahead, do it, I'm sure it will be more fun.

Re: Beetle type 4 twin turbo project
Are you leaving Gotech but still staying in the aftermarket efi business?
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.

Re: Beetle type 4 twin turbo project
4Age, is there a way we can get those images from page 9 upwards re-added? Only stumbled upon this thread now...
The amount of work put into this is amazing good work. Now how about some pics, I'm tired of reading and picturing for myself

@Bratjie
I'm leaving the company, but can still organize a MFI X for you at a later stage.
@Dawie
Once you are in the EFI market you cannot simply leave it completely. I'm going to another company in the same market.
@Hennels
thanks, only saw now that most of the pictures went missing, as soon as I get a chance I'll upload some pics again.
