OK, so I managed to fit the last bit of trim to Lady Phoenix.

Been a year in the waiting, but finally arrived and fitted.

....

What is it you ask, .. well have a look and see if you can spot it.

Sitting on either side ...

Pleased as punch

Sorry Jaco, must be my night off, do not get it.

Yes buggyfan, she is finally licensed, and no thanks to our wonderful Bisho, no, I had to eventually "Phone A Friend"

The disk was not on as she had to go to RWC before a disk would be issued.

Drove her down to the little man in a white coat with horn rim glasses and clipboard, and took my chances.....

When he eventually came back and with a grin from ear to ear, uttered these words, "Hey boet, this is the best restoration I have seen in years, and yes, its the best VW Beetle I have ever had at my RWC, she's perfect."

This filled my failing cholesterol hart with such pride, that I did not know what to say.

And with this big mouth, that means a lot.

So off to the post office to get the license disk for the window in the morning.

On the road again ....

Herman

I was at the local Builders Warehouse yesterday and had a look at the laykold tape.
How well does this stuff work for sound proofing compared to products that are made for soundproofing. The Dynamat stuff is just way to expensive.
.......Yes the Laykold is a lot cheaper, and it works just as well as the high priced stuff.
How do you find the laykold, does it do a good job at keeping the noise out ?
