Excellent job! Your car is clearly built to a very high standard.

I see you are using the harder 78 durometer gearbox mounts from Wolfsburg West. I want to go the same way with my car, but don't know by how much (if any) they increase the noise and vibration inside the car. I know your car is not driving yet, but do you have any experience with these mounts?

What did you use for the front gearbox mount?

Hi Fourier, yes i really didn't want a solid mount and think that polyurethane is also too hard and not sure if they last. In the front i'm using an original style rubber mount and a lower brace like in the photo, will let you know how it pans outImageImage

Thanks for the info.

I'd be keen to know how your mounting set-up works out. I'm looking for a decent compromise between too soft (original mounts), and too firm (urethane/solid), without transmitting too much noise and vibration into the car.

Great build, love the detail! Keep the pics coming.

So glad i kept all the old window trim, on the right is before and left is after aome good cleaning and light rubbing. The old trim is fitting into yhe new seals like a treat, much easier than fitting after market trim!Image

Windows fitted, the rear quarter windows were the trickiest, but all went well, was only about a PG13 process, just a little bit of swearing involvedImageImageImageImage

62RestCal, I love this build! The attention to detail is inspiring, my only question is why didn't you go with single piece front windows to get the complete Cal look? I actually use thus thread as a reference to people to what standard I'd like to build a car
