If you are running a standard bus, do not put the 195R14's on. It will effect the power and it makes quite a difference. Rather use the the 185 tyres the busses came with.

I personally don't like the commercial 8 ply tyres, the reinforced sidewall 185/80 R14 is the best for normal driving. The commercials give a very hard ride.

Choices are not great in the 185 range these days. There is plenty choice in the 195.

Dunlop still offers the SP44 reinforced 185/80R14, Continental Vanco has the commercial 185R14 and then obviously the Chinese imports are also around. 1

Thank you Sean and JC, MUCH APPRECIATED!
I narrowed it down to :
New 185R14C Dunlop SP44 8ply commercial tyres at R700 fitted each.
Will that work, there is no mention of (80) which I guess is the profile?

Llew

PS Not standard, running a 2.L Golf motor so I guess 195's can do the job as well?

Image
I needed the back window plus body down to the load bed

Image

Drop sides are rotten so will remove all the hinges and locks on the drop sides and on the cargo door /crew cab door, i will be removing the lock mechanism.

So maybe some one needs a:
Roof
Front seats and top of the back seat bottom look not nice frame work shot
Front disc brakes full suspension
Steering box and column
etc etc

Will post in parts by tomorrow or make me a offer for the bus :)

Nice to see the bus returning to its former glory.

Actually looks rather nice with the suitcase on the roof rack.
