Yes, Small one come out to play...

Thanks guys, still a lot to do before paint...

Grinding and rerunning the welds will take a lot of time when I strip down for chassis prime and paint.

Did not get a lot done today as the fitting was time consuming.

Managed to get the Steering Rack in and fits perfect

As can be seen from the photo's, need to fit a few universal joints into steering rod.

Matter of fact will have to build the complete steering system.

 Camera does lots of things to long shots .

The exact size of the truck will be:- 1 Beetle + 1 Cab = 1 MeFusco.

Therefore;- 1 MeFusco = 6100 MM long

You mean " the whole truck is very South African" ..

Yes it has to be put together so we can see if every thing fits, no time for nicety's, as once all is fitted, this Truck will be striped down right down to the bear bottom, and "Nicefyed"... :D

Doing everything out of ones head leads to things being put in and then the next getting put in, then the 1st one being modified as its in the way of the 2nd, and then you fit the 3rd thing and the 2nd thing has to be modified and the..... so it goes on , but that is the joy of the build,

Nothing on paper to say what its going to look like at the end.

But I love it.. :D

So not much happening at this time, due to family duty's

Will be getting back to work over next few days, but have made a few small parts which will have a big impact at a much later stage.

These will in fact change the look of MeFusco considerably.

What are they you all ask in one voice....

Well you would have to guess or wait till they are fitted to the completed project...

Sorry, No

The MeFusco is a VW and Powered by VW and will stay a VW.

My guess is that those are rings which you are going to mount onto your non-VW rims. You'll be fitting your hubcap tabs to these rings so you can fit the VW hubcaps...

Spent a few hours on the bed of the truck today

Starting to fit the bed body which has to be structural but at the same time,

strengthen the chassis, and also be functional.

This has to be a fine line as we need to save weight.

Bent the chassis at the back as well so as to reduce the ramp height.

Till next time
