Welcome to ACVWSA Grahame.

Dawie has dug up some gumtree ads for you and posted them in the Vehicles For Sale forum.

You'll get a better response if you introduce yourself in the new members thread, as requested in your welcome mail, then post a wanted ad in the Wanted forum. Good luck with your Autovilla search!

Hi Guys - thanks to this forum I'm the very proud owner of a 1974 model, bought from Piet van Vuuren of Germiston. The bus is in tip top condition, the 1800 engine is unmolested and pulling strongly. The interior is original - even some of the melamine cups are still in the cupboard! I am based in Pretoria. I had been looking around to buy one of these for use as a support vehicle for our running club, but I love it so much that I'm selfishly keeping it for myself! My wife and I intend to use 'Matilda' as a tourer to various marathons around the country.

Unfortunately, after a service she was parked on the pavement in Pretoria for me to collect later that day, when someone stole the spare wheel. Does anyone know of a rim for sale - anywhere in the country? I'll courier it up to Pretoria.

Happy camping!

Those rims should be easily available up in Jhb Grahame for couple of hundred rand...I'm sure one of the guys on this forum can assist, but best to post under the Parts Wanted thread...

Here are a few more pictures of this very strange Autovilla as posted earlier. It definitely seems like a cross between the 75 and 76 layout. The chassis is marked 1975. Note the very blunt front end and 2 large windows on the side. It looks as if it was supposed to have the luton extension, but then simply ended sharply.

Very odd. The fridge is on the opposite side to a regular 75.

I was going through some old pictures and came across these from a few years ago of this autovilla at a scrap yard.

It appears to be a 74 model with an added extension, but certainly one of the better looking ones.

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.
