Oke,
I am Jack Scheffel from the Netherlands
My father invented the Amescador camper in a small place Zwijndrecht in the Netherlands.
i've built the website http://www.amescador.nl to honer is work, he died in 2004, i would like the find out the history of this camper.

Over the past year i've learned al lot new friends and one of them owns a Jurgen AutoVilla and i prommissed him to find a sales brochure of this type of camper.
Hopefully you can help me with digital version brochure.

Was this just a single-page advertisement in the CAR magazine or was there also a feature article of some sort?

I believe the VW Type 2 parts supplier, Just Kampers, in Great Britain, has a Kemperink mobile shop.

There are a few 1968~79 VW Type 2 Kemperink vehicles in Great Britain. Just Kampers, the British VW Transporter parts retailer, has a sign-written, 1972 VW 1600 Type 2 Kemperink mobile shop, which was featured in the following magazine article:

Mark Walker, "Special Kemperink", Volkswagen Camper & Commercial, Issue 7, Summer 2002, Pages 18~21.

Here are some pictures of a Dutch built, right-hand drive, 1970 VW Type 2 Kemperink stretched vehicle (British vehicle registration number NJT 312H), said to be one of only fourteen in the UK, which at sometime, has since been converted into a campervan. It was recently for sale at Cool Campers, in Throop, Bournemouth, Dorset, England, who also seem to occasionally sell other overseas specification, VW Type 2s, in RHD and LHD configuration; including those from Australia, Germany, South Africa, Sweden and the USA.

More about the history of the Kemperink stretched vehicles, may be perused at the British, Volkswagen Type 2 Owners' Club (of which I have been a member since November 1995 and am now the club magazine's technical editor) Internet website:

A proper weekend cottage by the sea, river, lake, mountains, forest............
Camping is cheaper than therapy.

"Wanna sell it" "Yeah, but there's a national shortage on 'for sale' signs."
