Who can tell me the difference between the 412 and the 412S? All I can see is the power went up from 75 to 85hp and the torque. Stroke and bore, carbs, everything else stayed the same...?? This is not a rhetorical question, I really do want to know...

Haven't hear of a 412S before? They were either 412, 412 L, 412LE - the latter being fuel injection. Overseas markets saw the 1800 Variant in the final years of production, but not in South Africa. The 412LS - a more luxurious model, but with carbs, was also sold in other countries. The differences between the 'L' and 'non-L' models, were minimal, as far as I remember:
412 L had carpets instead of rubber mats, a clock on the dash, a trip meter on the speedo, a cigar lighter, a lockable cubby hole, a side mirror on the passenger side, and chrome trim on the waist line and wheel arches, and a full rubber arm rest for the rear passengers.

Where did my post go??!?!

I SAID!!!: Wiki mentions a 411, 411E, 411LE, 412, 412E, 412LE and 412S...

I ALSO SAID!!: My dad had a 411LE and my buddy's dad had a 412 station wagon which I am sure had 4 doors... But then maybe I have had too many beers between standard 6 and forty 6...
