Twin-engined SA Beetle

Post by Pine »

Does anyone have more information on this twin-engined Beetle, or does anyone recognise any of the individuals in the pictures? I believe it was raced in East London in the early 70's

Twin type 4 engines, converted to upright cooling. Interesting...
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).

As this would have to run in the modified class, I would imagine the gearbox would have to have been strengthened or a Porsche box fitted.

Can not remember it running at Grand Central or Kyalami during my youth.

Maybe some one has photo's ??
