Actually I saw a messerschmidt engine in the imperial war museum once. It was an upside-down water-cooled v12 Daimler Benz with a centrifugal blower. Image

That supercharger sounds like a wheel driven police siren that was mounted on the motorcycles in the USA! Engine sounds awesome!
