Thanks Terry,

Yes the red Fastback is mine, Built up a few years ago.

My Fastback build thread... viewtopic.php?f=23&t=20281&hilit=not+a+1967+but+1968

My family was from Holland during the war, so NO vw for them....

Ironically, the only VW that my Dad owned, a Beetle, Killed him.

A Red fastback was the 1st car I bought with my own earned money when a kid.

Did a lot of "growing up" in that car,...... therefore the nostalgia.

So after building a lot of British vintage cars, and a few DKW's I had to get my youth back.

That car got my love for the aircooled VW started.as I realized that it had its own personality, and if I treated it nice,

it would never let me down away from home, and you know what.....

It never did, always got me home, regardless the noise, or smoke, or speed, I always got home.

She is my Baby

Also had two Beetles after the Fastback

Thanks for that post of your fast back will need a few days to go through it.I like your write up on your love for your fast back it just has that special place in ones heart when the car that has taken you so many places over so many years is still so much a part of your life.
I am sorry but I had to laugh about the horse, at least you still have a picture of the horse that bit you. I like your story on the introduction to VW Aircooled great to hear the love for your cars is still with you.
