You will have to find out with a multi meter if the rev counter part of the unit is connected to the outer body.

If the outer body is metal and IS connected to the rev counter internals, then you would have to insulate the body of the meter from the car body

If there is NO connection then you can connect it any which way.

Yip,.. sort of,...after nearly burning the car to the ground !!

Changed it to negative earth,...got the dashin only to find outthat the revcounter is blown,...and the speedo cable is so worn it just does'nt fit the square in thespeedo,.....so we have a bit of work to do on this lot

Other gauges all work,..and for the trip we ran on the GPS to stay on the right side of the law

The blue car,..the four letter word not to bementioned on this forum is interesting,...the first time I saw it,....I thought nice, but could not pinpoint what the fus was. Leon sent me backto go and check it out again!,.....and then I realised what he has done to it!!!

I quite like the look of this setup. A friend of mine cut his dash and recessed the gauges, which does look almost OEM nice!

Would love to see more pictures of this... Only ever seen a lenghend nose on a Mk1 Escort to fit a V8... but widened Anglia?? :shock:

Check the rearnumber plate,......std size then the gap to the end
Was lenthened just in front of the A pillar by about ,.....a hand & half I would say
