My Bug - New peekchas
so after being without wheels since my bike accident in march, i've been saving and hunting for a beetle. Finally found one i liked and spent the better part of 10 weeks trying to organise the papers for it and to sort out a little issue by some rats deciding that the wiring looked yummy...
Went to collect her on friday afternoon, and i can say that i'm a happy camper... there are some small things that need attention before i can get her roadworthied and licensed, mainly some new headlights (missing adjuster screws), a new hooter that mysteriously stopped working, an oil leak, and the brakes dont feel 100%.
but she starts 1st swing, only rust is a few specs on the roof, pan has been sandblasted and rubberised about 2 years ago, body was resprayed from a pale blue to a metallic blue. its not the best paint job but it'll do. also i'm told the motor (1600TP) has had an overhaul and the brakes are fairly new too.
interior is neat, the vinyl/cloth seats have no tears, same story with the door panels (although they need new retaining clips), headlining is good, newish carpets, no rust under the battery, and a radio hidden in the cubby...
opinions and constructive crit please...

and the happy camper himself
