Wanda's "new" 1960 Beetle

Post by Wanda »

So this is my new impulsive buy. Some girls buy shoes, seems like I buy VW's (wonder if you get pills for that?)

Very nice car
Not many in red if it is the original colour
Love the very clean motor
Looks like a later model than a 58 if you look at the door handles, steering wheel and dash though. More 1959/60? Please correct me if I am wrong

I am not certain about the year. Someone told me the semaphores was discontinued in 1958. What is your opinion?

Nice car, love the classic look, but think its a 1960

Maybe you can post the Vin number or PM it to Fig, he will tell you when it was built.

Enjoy

More like a rusty brown. On the metal disc on the car at paint code, there is a N, whatever that means. On her roof and fender the paint is rusted away. Will want to treat it at first as I don't have money to restore her now. Was a total impulse buy. Saw the car and asked the owner if he wanted to sell. Did not think his answer would be "Yes"!
