Re: FINALLY I have one
Congrats. If I didn't have my heart set on a SC I would have bought it from Terry. Hope you are very happy with it.

Re: FINALLY I have one
I wanted a bay, but as explained earlier they are ether out of my price range or to hell and gone far away.beetlefanatic wrote:Congrats. If I didn't have my heart set on a SC I would have bought it from Terry. Hope you are very happy with it.
But l am happy tyat I have this one and now I can stop using my little Picanto as a bakkie or borrowing the works van for trips to the dump.

Re: FINALLY I have one
I am lately more interested in a T3 SC but finding a nice aircooled one that isn't falling apart is proving more difficult than finding a nice T2 SC.
When you are finished with your DC it could look like this.

I would love for mine to look like that (maybe one day)
Long term plan is to make a frame for the load bed and cover with canvas with extended roof rack for camping.

Re: FINALLY I have one
This is the way I'm going. NATO canopy. Much more useful than a canvas cover.

Re: FINALLY I have one
I have previously mentioned that I have been having trouble with the dc and that I need to remove the motor to change the right hand side head.
Well today was that day I finally got around to do it. But before I send it away I need to clean it up and respray all the tinware this will be done during the week and next Saterday the motor will go to be done.
When it returns I plan to clean it up as well.
See pics and thanks for reading.

Re: FINALLY I have one
Got the motor back on Saterday only to be told that I need a new exhaust system as the silencer box was not silencing.
that is now sorted as we made a new one at work.
Now all that remains is to clean all the gunk off and install

Re: FINALLY I have one
So the above pics are of the motor as it is now, I have removed the carb and manifolds in order to clean the casing and then spray it.
Also removed the exhaust to "fit/weld" another silencer and then it is back into the DC.
