Thanks Terry. I am lucky to have some very good friends who have played a huge role. Collecting the bits and pieces took a few years, but the after the truck and the locker section were completed, it came together in a matter of weeks.

Not only is Pieter a blacksmith, but he seems to enjoy all these wierd jobs that get thrown at him - in this case making "platforms" for the 2 red beacons in order for them to sit level on the roof.

After seeing it at KKK it is nice to see now where the project started. Well done.

If I look at the photos your job was being the foreman.

The idea for the railings on the top came from one of those aluminium Trek trailers that I was storing at my place for a forum member, I'm really chuffed with the results of this. Thanks Sean for the welding, cutting, swearing, bending and all

The second red Bosch beacon was found in a scrap yard. This was one of the best salvage adventures I've ever had. On route to fetch Sean's 1960 blue single cab, we passed this yard and the cab of this old Ford D Series truck tucked away in the corner caught my eye - why ? Because it was red of course, and on closer inspection the beacon of this old fire truck cab was still there (a bit melted from a previous bush fire lol !) R50 bucks :)

Thanks Hermon, yes my vehicles must work, otherwise I can't afford to keep them. So Santa, Jonny on his birthday, etc, etc, will also ride now and then.
