1500 single port..
twin weber 34ict carbs
sp exhaust system..
bosch 009 dizzy with ignitor electronic ignition installed
fully balanced crank/rods/flywheel

i dont have a clue on times..
but she runs of the clock very quick, and getting tired of changing broken speedo cables

Very neet looking setup there :hangloose:




YOu can get a speedo like mine from Speedometer services here in JHB for around R650 modiefied like mine

the red thing on the inside of the bootlid,what is its purpose and were they found on all beetles ,coz it is only the second time if seen something like that?

If memory serves, it is a rain deflector channel. It was designed to keep rain from falling on the distributor.

THANKS HR,the bug i got was stripped and all parts were thrown inside .when i started cleaning it out i came across that thing and it puzzled me where it should go ,so i just put it one side until i saw this one .

011 828 5019 Give Brian a call when I did the Pick`n Pay Cabrios in 2001 I gave him all year model speedos and he reconed 14 for me I think he did a mph one for me a long while ago if that is the one you are talking about
