You might find that the dizzy timing gear has come out. Try jiggle it back in with a screwdriver
If you need to get it out and cant using your tools, get a wooden dowel rod and ram it into the gear hole - you should now be able to pull it out.
Beware though, there is a washer between the gear and the case. DO NOT let this drop into the casing. And remember that it needs to be refitted before putting the gear back it - put a dap of grease on the bottom of the gear and push the washer into this grease.

You have to rotate it anti clockwise as you pull up the distributor drive

The problem is the shim washers they are now stuck to the shaft and possibly bent push the drive down as far as it will go gently rotating it once it seats at the bottom you will need to tap it lightly to flatten the shim washers then gently pull the drive up and rotate until it comes out. You will probably find lots of brass shavings which mean a destroyed timing gear. This can only be fixed by stripping the crank case and replacing it

ok i think i have found my problem.
when the shaft bent it broke the bottom section of the Bakelite.
This has now dropped down into the gears on the crank.

Thanks @buggyfan. They have all been sold.

I'll list any new kits that come into stock.

Kind regards,
