I can get a complete 2.5i engine for around R8k if you would be interested. Has around 150k on it.

If it's too low, you're too old

yes, but you didnt negotiate either. You could have offered 7.5K
He offered it to you at a price and your response was the same as most people out there: is that your best price? If he wanted to sell it for less without negotiating he would have done so in the first place.

Call me an idiot if you wish, If someone uses that line to me I take it as an insult

Hello ,
I would like to convert my caravelle from a 2.5 engine to Isuzu KB250 diesel. Saw the isuzu engine in a toyota Kombi . For my job felt that the isuzu KB250 could help, being economical. Dont mind the noise.

Is that possible?

Thanks

Good engine go for ever but not sure in a caravelle. I got a T3 Ci camper with 3CT in it thought I would do so tests as I want to tow a 23ft yacht up Lake Makawi down to Maputo it has the power so it should do the job I just wznt to complete my Southern Africa Sailing leg. When traveling in Africa its best to use a diesel as 90% of vehicles are diesel and if you run out of petrol you could sit for a while.good luck

That would be the worst possible engine to put into a T3 Caravelle.

1st issue, the 2.5i kombi revs at 4000rpm in 5th gear at 120km/h. Good luck trying to get a Isuzu 2.5 diesel to rev to 4000rpm. The gear ratios are way to low for an engine that cant rev.

That Isuzu engine wont even produce half the power compared to the Audi 5 cylinder motor. It may have more torque, but completely useless in a low ratio gearbox.
