Good day, I am also currently looking at going for the dual carb setup in my 1973 1600 twinport. I am from Pretoria an wanted to get some advice on where I could find one of these setups other than online?

I import them from time to time.
My last quoted price (not updated at the moment) was R13300 for a set of Weber 34ICT with manifolds, linkage, air filters, everything needed, and that includes NEW Webers, not Chinese copies.
A full 40IDF kit with everything included, as above, comes to R22000

The ICT kit is two single carbs, each feeding one head.
The IDF is two dual carbs, so you have effectively 1 carburetor per cylinder (ITB)

Otherwise, try places like Volkspares. But be aware that Chinese copies of the webers are not likely to be as good
