fuel pump - which is in ans which is out pipe?

Post by marcw »

Very silly question

I did not mark nor can I find any info on google regarding which pipe is the in and which the out on a standard type 4 2 litre Kombi fuel pump.

The bent one or the straight one is the fuel line in?

Regards
Marc

Easy to find out as both sides have a non-return valve in them.

So all you do is blow into one pipe, if nothing happens, that is the wrong way.

now blow into the other pipe, now you have air flowing through, that is the right direction of flow.

I think from memory, the top is to tank and the bottom to Carb., but Please test this.......
