Hi All
I'm trying to identify the tail lights on my beetle. It's a 1975 1600 model, 1152... chassis number. The rear tail lights are mounted to the body by the extra "spacer" which I believe suggests this is the SA model rather than the international model. The lights don't appear to be the VERY square elephant shape, rather the slightly rounded shape that suggests the international model. All my info to date has been picked up from a range of conversations so could be completely incorrect.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I need to replace the plastic bracket attaching the fitting (note the duct tape currently holding things together)

Re: 1975 Beetle Tail Lights
my understanding (I am open to correction here) is that it is a setup unique to SA. The light however is the same as the later international elephants foot, but we didnt get the late fender to which it mounts, so VW SA made the spacer to get the late light onto an earlier fender.
