Push rod
When removing a fuel pump from a type 4 engine and fitting a blank off plate can you just remove the push rod or will it affect the oil pressure.

Re: Push rod
some people say you can remove the pump pushrod without problems as the oil hole is pretty tiny, others say to cut the pushrod 20mm shorter and then fit the cover, but test first to ensure that the pushrod doesnt hit the cover.
